A choir of young male sopranos and altos, steeped in history
The origins of the Vienna Boys Choir date back to 1498, when Emperor Maximilian I chose to have six boys sing at his Court. 520 years on, the Vienna Boys Choir has around 100 active members divided across four concert choirs – Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart und Schubert – which share the tours, service in the Hofburgkapelle, concerts and performances.
